This release targets improvements to usability, process challenges and customer pain points including:
Installation & Licensing
Sage 50 Payroll 2011 is the choice for a simple, quick and compelling installation and registration process
Simplified Installation Experience – feedback from customers told us that the first time and upgrade installation experience of Payroll is too complex and daunting, where in the majority of occasions customers are simply installing Sage 50 Payroll using the default single user installation settings... With Sage 50 Payroll 2011 we have simplified this experience by presenting reducing the number of steps/options the customer is presented with.
64Bit Compatibility - most new PC purchases present the buyer with the choice of having either a 32Bit or 64Bit operating system installed by default. 64Bit PCs give the user more memory and processing power and the ability to run 32 and 64Bit applications and is becoming the choice of most PC users. To future proof our software; Sage 50 Payroll 2011 will be a 32Bit application that will be compatible with 64Bit operating systems.
Simplified Licensing – the registration process in current versions of Sage 50 Payroll can be a complex and daunting experience for our customers, presented with 3 different licensing files to ensure they get the right version of the software they are entitled to. With Sage 50 Payroll 2011 we have simplified and improved this experience by having a single licensing file and future proofing this experience for years to come.

compelling reporting experience that is familiar across the
SBD product range New Report Designer
New Report Designer – currently across our SBD product portfolio our customers are experiencing different reporting experiences. Moving to a true suite vision Sage 50 Payroll 2011 introduces the new look and feel of the Report Designer shipped with Sage 50 Accounts where the experience of creating and amending reports is a much simpler, intuitive and compelling experience.
Specify Reports Location – currently Sage 50 Payroll stores any user defined reports locally to their installation of the software, requiring customers to copy the reports to different PCs if they have networked installations. With Sage 50 Payroll 2011 we have introduced a simple method that enables customers to choose where they want to store any user defined reports....for example you can specify if you want them to be stored locally to your Payroll installation, where your Payroll data files are stored or even down to individual companies.Starter and Leaver Management
